Baby Burp Cloth Tutorial & Bias Tape Maker GIVEAWAY!

First of all.... a HUGE thank you to everyone who wrote me about our farm house post last week! We are so excited with our new little homestead and all the adventures that are sure to follow!

This week brings a new video tutorial and a fabulous GIVEAWAY!

In this video post I show you how to make this easy little baby burp cloth out of flannel and quilting cotton fabrics.  The fun part is I also show you how to make your own single fold bias tape out of fabric and I use Simplicity Bias Tape Maker machine to save me time and any burning of my fingers!

I like to make my own bias tape because its a lot more fun than buying the boring solid colored ones at the store.  It allows you to really customize your projects.

A big thanks to Simplicity for providing the goodies for this week's giveaway!

One lucky winner will receive the items pictured below: One
Simplicity Bias Tape Maker
, a 1/4" single fold tip (for use with the machine), a 1 1/4" Quilting Binding tip (for use with the machine), and a Bias Tip Insertion Tool (for use with 1/8" and 1/4" bias strips).

Giveaway ends Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 5:00pm EST.  One random winner will be announced on next Monday's video tutorial.  Only valid YouTube entries are eligible to win.

  4. My problem is not making the bias tape/binding. It's sewing it on nicely. I simply cannot seem to sew a consistently placed seam on curves.
