AH! I'm a new member of the Threadbanger family! If you have no idea what I'm talking about you gotta check them out. I have been watching Threadbanger for years! They are a YouTube channel with cool and funky craft projects.  I'm now joining forces with some fabulously crafty ladies: Corinne, Whitney, Crafty Chica and Meg.

Did you know Janome even had a few different sewing machines that were Threadbanger editions.

Cool, eh? If I didn't already own a gazillion machines I would try to snag one of these if I could. Sssshh. Don't tell my DH.

Anyway, I'm super excited to now be a member of the Threadbanger crew.... meaning, I will be posting video tutorials every few months or so that will air only on the Threadbanger channel.
My first Threadbanger tutorial was posted this week and the responses from the subscribers and fans has been overwhelming!  They really enjoyed my tute!  Check it out for yourself-- How to Make a Makeup Brush Carrier.  Even though I designed it for makeup brushes you can use this to store all kinds of other things--- crochet hooks, knitting needles, drawing pencils, markers, paintbrushes, etc.

Block #8- Autograph/Signature Block

Sorry for the late post!  I uploaded this tutorial last week and just never got around to posting it.  oops!  As you probably already know I'm super busy working on finishing the inside of my studio all by my lonesome... and it's taking me forever!  I'm almost ready to paint! Can you tell I'm excited?!
Anywho... here is this last week's block.  Hope you enjoy the tute and as usual be sure to upload those pictures to my Facebook page. I'm loving everyone's blocks! Keep up the great work.

Sewing Studio & Farm Update- February 2012

We have been working up a sweat over here!  Trying to get my new sewing studio finished and prepping for our spring garden...phew! So much work I want to get done as soon as possible.

My DS has been having a blast harvesting the last of our carrots and turnips.  He also helped me prep the potatoes for planting. I'm excited to start posting my gardening videos in the near future, too. Yay!

We are learning so much every single day on the farm.  It's a lot of work but so rewarding! I love having my 2 year old DS go out to the chicken coop, gather his eggs and bring them to the kitchen and say, "Mama, pancakes por favor!"  He is just the sweetest little guy!

We have also setup a greenhouse on the property which we are excited about as well.  It was a kit for a 10' x 20' greenhouse we found online that had great reviews so we jumped at the opportunity to get it on sale with free shipping. That always gets me.

We have been making good progress on my new studio too... watch the video update for details.

Block #7- Half Square Triangle Freebie

Oops! I almost forgot to blog about last Monday's new video tutorial! Guess I've been so busy around here I was just glad I was able to get the video uploaded to my channel.

This week I wanted to give you guys an easy block that still allowed room for you to experiment with the placement of the smaller block units.  I'm calling it half-square triangle freebie!  You are free to arrange your 16 HSTs any way you like.  I've asked everyone to post their finished blocks to our Facebook page and have been amazed at all the different variations you are out there making!

Here is the one I decided on for my quilt. But in the video tute I show you a bunch of other ways you can lay out your HSTs to get a completely different looking block.

Have fun with this one!
